Sustainably made long ago
In the Heian period (794~1185), people started making kimono using the Chokusendachi method, by which the cloth is cut straight and sewn together so there is no waste. Sustainability is a core Japanese value that lies deep within our roots.
Antique kimono have their own special color, texture and feel. They remain beautiful and timeless no matter the era. We bring classic elegance to modern life with contemporary styling of vintage fabrics. With this in mind, MIYUKI STUDIOS began.
